Hi, my name is Dandara Siqueira!
I come from Nova Iguaçu, a city about 50 km from Rio de Janeiro, not far from the city itself. Growing up there, I always felt a strong connection to my roots and the surrounding community. My journey in tourism began by offering social tours for my own neighborhood, where I focused on teaching people to appreciate and value the richness of our local culture and history. For over 10 years, I worked as a tour guide, leading people through the sights and stories that shaped who I am today.

As I shared the beauty of our culture with others, I realized that tourism has the power to unite people from different backgrounds and spark meaningful connections. This experience inspired me to start Janeiro Tour & Travel, a company dedicated to offering authentic and personalized cultural experiences, helping travelers discover the true essence of Brazil, especially its Afro-Brazilian roots.

Over the years, as I traveled and explored more cities in Brazil and beyond, I found myself falling in love with the beauty and uniqueness of each place I visited. The rich history, the diverse cultures, and the unforgettable experiences I had along the way made me want to share them with others. 

This led me to expand Janeiro Tour & Travel to include experiences in the cities I’ve visited and admired the most. Whether it’s the vibrant energy of Salvador, the historical charm of Recife, or the stunning landscapes of Minas Gerais, I’ve curated experiences that showcase the essence of these places. I want to share these adventures with travelers, helping them connect with the culture, the people, and the stories that make each city so special.

For me, tourism is about more than just sightseeing. It’s about building bridges, understanding different perspectives, and celebrating the diversity that makes the world a richer place. Through Janeiro Tour & Travel, I aim to bring that same sense of wonder and appreciation to everyone who embarks on this journey with us.

As I continued to grow in my career, I transitioned into offering more tailored experiences for foreigners, helping them connect with Brazil’s rich heritage, especially Afro-Brazilian culture. This led me to create Janeiro Tour & Travel in 2014, where I could share the stories, music, and traditions of Brazil in a way that felt personal and meaningful.
